Red Bull Flugtag (German language means Flugtag Airshow) is a fun event organized by Red Bull in which competitors attempt to fly with the engine / vehicle / aircraft / gadget homemade human-powered. Glyphs are usually launched from a pier which is about 30 feet and slid into the sea or lake. Most competitors are judged on the uniqueness of entertaining and not a machine who can fly, and almost all of the glyphs creation of this home can not fly at all.

Red Bull Flugtag competition first held in 1991 in Vienna, Austria. so successful that has been held every year since then in over 35 cities around the world. The most recent year was held in Tel Aviv, Israel, on June 3, 2011. According to organizers, around 50,000 spectators had gathered to enjoy the event.

Anyone eligible to compete in Flugtag event. To participate, each team must submit their peculiar applications that meet the criteria set by Red Bull, usually the size and weight of the aircraft wingspan. Because the aircraft will ultimately end up in the water, must be unsinkable and constructed entirely of environmentally friendly materials.

Teams compete in Flugtag competition under three categories - distance, creativity and showmanship. The longest recorded flight in the history of the competition is 207 feet set on July 24, 2010 at Flugtag in St. Paul, Minnesota..
